This autumn, he heads out with a full band to play prestigious venues including London’s Shepherds Bush Empire, but has decided to begin promoting his latest album with a tour of more intimate spaces that allow him to visit towns and cities he otherwise might not reach. “It’s been interesting, one for the scrapbook,” he deadpans, hinting at a dry sense of humour that has allowed him to thrive in the UK, his home for the past decade.
